Miniature Monday: Orange Kastelan Robot

This guy was the 2nd robot that I painted. He's also one of my favorites, thanks to the armor colors and how well they work together. He's also the one with the least amount of wear and tear. He doesn't have any battle damage where the two colors meet and only heavy damage on his fists.

Originally, I had planned on him having bright red armor plating, but I misjudged the color combinations of the layers and it ended up becoming a burnt orange instead. I'm actually kinda glad it happened, because after he was mostly done I was completely sold on the color, especially with it next to the grey armor plating.

With the armor all painted, it seemed like he was a bit plain. He  was giving off a strong race car vibe and I decided to give him a pair of Dodge style stripes on his chest.

I think it worked out well and gives him a bit more visual interest. Also the blue pops really nicely with the orange.

When he was all said and done, I was really happy with the look of him. I posted him on Instagram and the pictures blew up with likes, which was a great feeling.

I'm really glad that I kept him more clean than the rest of the robos, it makes him stand out from the rest and makes him unique. Each robot is unique as it is and they all have different things that give them character, this one being less war torn is his.

That's it for now.
