I knew from the start that I wanted to build a rock base for her to sit on top of. With a lot of cork, a wooden disc and a dowel I was able to make a pretty epic base for it using my usual steps for making rocks. Its gotten a lot of compliments on Twitter and Instagram while I was in the process of building it too, but is always a good feeling.
Also, while I was building the base, I decided that I needed to cut away parts of the flooring base, to make it both easier on myself and to give the planks a bit more thickness. I was super nervous about that, but thanks to my fancy new Citadel cutters and some patience it wasn't a huge problem at all.
But now, I'll stop rambling. It's pretty pictures time!
I applied for a replacement hand for her, but when I got the mail this afternoon I got a whole new model set instead! But the contents were missing both hands and had all the other components. I guess this means my sculpted fingers are here to stay.
I'm not sure what I'll do with the other model, maybe I'll convert it into a crumbling statue for wargaming terrain or something.
Until next time, you can catch my next project as it unfolds on Twitter and Instagram.
