Wizardry in Progress 6/20/18

The build up to Midwest Miniature Madness and my Battle Report with The Lonely Havocs continues!

All things have halted while I work on finishing up my army for the battle report video. This week I painted a 3 man squad of Kataphron Destroyers and a new 5 man squad of Skitarii Rangers!

Kataphron Destroyers

These guys were really fun to work on, which is funny because I was worried about them being a chore.

I hadn't painted any of these before and they have some major details. It was fun to come up with a color scheme for them and I think they fit in nicely with the rest of the army.

While painting them, I decided that most of their silver metals would be drybrushed. This was mainly because their lower halves were going to end up covered in weathering pigments and I didn't really need the silver to be high contrast.

These fellas are magnetized too, so I can swap between their main guns and side arms easily. I still need to paint up the extra weapons, but that'll be fore another time.

Skitarii Rangers
The running Rangers are now all finished!

I really like these guys, the whole squad has a ton of character, and the snipers have to be my most favorite conversion to date.

I didn't give some of the smaller details as much love as I had on previous models. The paint job on them was slightly rushed, due to time constraints, but I'm happy with them overall.

But, they are ready to go for the weekend and the Lonely Havocs Battle Report.

That's it for now. This weekend will be filled with painting and games! Midwest Miniature Madness is this weekend and I'm taking Let's Paint on the road! You can read all about it right here.

Until next time, you can catch me on Twitter and Instagram, I'll be posting pictures all weekend of my progress and the convention! Check out YouTube for the latest in the Let's Paint series. Plus if you like what I do and want to support the site and my painting endeavors, you can do so over on Ko-fi.
