WIP: Star Wars: Imperial Assault - Finished Royal Guard, Imperial Officers & Trandoshan Hunters

I've had Star Wars: Imperial Assault on the paint table for a week now and have make some more progress. Last weekend was a bust, as far as painting time goes , that's when I usually get the most work done. But, I was stuck at work overseeing the new furnace installation and didn't have a lot of free time. That said, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped, but progress was made and I can now say that the Emperor's Royal Guard, Imperial Officers and Trandoshan Hunters are all set and ready to go.

The Emperor's Royal Guard was talked about earlier in the last post, but now they are completed. I finished them off with GW Chainmail metallic to give it a better shine. Then the black sections were highlighted with grey.

The Imperial Officers gave me a bit of trouble and actually required a repaint after one failed attempt to highlight their uniforms. In the end, I
painted them a darkish grey and washed it with Nuin Oil, then followed up with some more subtle highlighting. They look much lighter in person than they do in this picture though.

Finally we have the Trandoshan Hunters. These guys were fun to paint, other than the tight quarters and trying to paint the inside of his arms.
Minis like this make me dislike pre-assembled minis. Overall, they were a really simple paint job and I tried to make their gun look as close to canon as possible.

You'll notice that each of the Trandoshan's shirts are different colors. This is part of a request by my client to give them a little bit of variation, rather than having all the same exact colors. The Stormtroopers are supposed to have a colored shoulder pad as well, but I haven't added it yet. I may ask him if it's cool to leave them stock though. Each of the Imperial Officers has a slight variation to them as well, in the form of a different combination of rank insignia on their badge and their hair colors are different.

I've reached the halfway point and now just need to paint the squads of Probe Droids, Gunners and Nexu. Then it's on to Vader and the Heroes!
